Default Adding a kick sample to an existing live kick performance

Adding a kick sample to an existing live kick performance

I have the drums recorded and I would like to add a kick sample to blend with the live kick track. Is there an easy way to do it? I thought of having PT drop a drum sample on a 2nd track using the transients of the live kick, but am not sure how?

thanks,
paul

Yes, tab to transients and paste in the new kick sound on a second track. That would work.

That will work fine but takes time. I prefer to duplicate the track and use SoundReplacer and end up with a new track that has the new kick samples. I then mix the 2 tracks to taste. You sometimes still need to go thru and correct a few misplaced samples.

I'd say get Drumagog and a nice sample collection. So much quicker then anything else, and the newest version is very accurate.
