Default Access Violation upon launching PTLE 5.1.1 - WinME

I just installed my new DIGI001 in my AMD Athlon 1.4 box and I get an "access Violation" upon launching it. I never get to enter my serial # or anything. The last messages I see in the PTLE box are: "loading DAE", then "Setting..." I can't read it since it flys by very fast. I ran the DigiTest.exe program and it seemed to be successful. My system spec's are:
AMD Athlon 1.4 266 FSB
Asus A7M266 motherboard
512 MB DDR
3 Ultra3 160 LVD SCSI drives (90GB)
DIGI001 is IRQ 5

-We have found that reformatting the drive with FDISK and installing everything fresh is the best way to combat the "Access Violation" error message.

-Be sure and Deauthorize DVerb before erasing your disk.

You must be joking. The disk was formatted from the WinME installation (FAT32).

Hi,

Set your Digi 001 to IRQ 10 from BIOS and try again. Make sure your SCSI card is not using that IRQ.

Tried changing the IRQ to 10, which DIGI001 isn't shared with any other device. Still has the same problem.

Try going into the digidesign system folder located in program files and deleting dae prefs, then reboot and see if the problem goes away.

I already tried that earlier -- no luck.

Are you using the standard dual fifo IDE drivers? If not go into hard disk controllers in device manager and update them.

I'm not using IDE at all. I have SCSI drives only - Ultra 160 LVD. I have IDE disabled in the BIOS.

I think it would be best if you posted your IRQ list by copying from system information window. I would also like to see what is in your PCI slots listed by numbed (e.g PCI1 .., PCI2). This way we could help you better.
