Audio tracks stop playing back/outputs disable

DTS, any idea when can we expect a bug fix for this issue? It's becoming quite difficult to mix and perform our jobs with this issue. We appreciate your help.

Just because a user reports he's contacted you doesn't mean we're all rest assured you're on it. So for future reference it's not obvious.

The forum isn't really an official support channel, it's really about users helping users. If you want the tech support guy to respond, you contact support directly. This is where you ask other users if anybody else is having a similar problem as yours. It's not the same as starting a support thread.

I suppose it clouds the issue a bit that some general announcements are made here, and that the DTS guy comes on and posts. But it also clouds the issue to have a bunch of people all assuming they have the same problem, when maybe they don't; and Avid/Digi maybe feels like they can't make any sweeping statement about existing bugs without tracking it down more precisely in individual support instances.

Right, contact support directly for, how much is it now, $80 a pop? It really depends on how you look at the bigger picture and about how you view the correctness of the current situation. Of course a support ticket is the surest way to make sure that an issue is being looked into but that doesn't negate the fact that the spirit of this forum, for the last bunch of years, has been that of both users and DTS support. Not to mention the fact that Avid uses this forum as a place to communicate with it's user base.

Hi,

Just discovered it not just channel volume!! i had some automated panning and it just stopped panning I have to click on the pan knob for it to work again.

Also found a send that was not sending to a reverb!!

Can't believe this got past the beta testers

Beta testers are Usually not the helpful (in my experience) They are busy professionals, who just "work around" the issues, and don't have time to go through every little thing. The ALPHAS should have a systematic checklist and protocol that needs going through to check every possible permutation, and apparently that ball got dropped big time.
(A former Alpha/SQA guy here back in the day)
