PT LE 8.0.4 not creating Digidesign folders

I was getting a lot of DAE 6078 errors and thought powering one of my FW drives in my chain fixed the problem. But no. After trashing ALL the prefs with the utility PT is not creating the normal Digi folder on all my drives when i open or make a new session. And core audio is crackling and popping at times.

Actually, I believe the database folders being gone, is a fix and not the problem. Please describe your "chain" and complete setup(including anything attached to the 002 ADAT or SPDIF ports).

The folders issue is behaving normally. Next time try reading the patch notes when you upgrade your software

Pro Tools no longer puts a database folder on every drive, only the system drive. I think this was mainly to address peoples dismay that they could never eject a drive when Pro Tools was running, which to be fair was a PIA.

Slim is politely telling you to read the notes pdf that accompanies an update, it tells you what fixes/changes the update is providing.

Just to clarify the creation of the database folder only on the system drive and no longer on any other drives. Its no longer created at the root level (for Mac the new location is /Library/Application Support/Digidesign, PC is C:\Program
Files\Digidesign\Pro Tools\Databases) and thats from version 8.0.3 onwards as explained in that versions release notes. Item 117627
So it might not have appeared in the 8.0.4 release notes.
