Update for ITunes interferes with Audiocore driver

Ever since I did this update for Itunes and Quik time I can't open Itunes if I have my Mbox plugged in. I was reading on a Mac forum that there is some conflict with the Audio driver from Pro Tools and this new update. therefore if I want to use Itunes or anything else that uses the regular audio driver I can't have Pro Tools hooked up. Has there been any updates for the Pro Tools Audio driver that fixes this problem?

Which OS version do you currently have installed?

If is OS 10.3.9 then, yes, there are known issues with that. The problem is the version of Qiucktime 7 that is installed with OS 10.3.9 is not compatible with the Digidesign Core Audio driver. The only solution seems to be either to revert back to QT 6.5.2 (some people have not had success with this) or reinstall your OS, only updating to 10.3.8.

yes I am using 10.3.9. I had read in a Mac related forum that I needed to revert to older versions of Itunes and Quiktime through a series of some what complex set of steps. I guess I was hoping that digidesign had updated the core audio driver to fix this problem. I guess not. Thanks for you help anyways.

I actually had the same isues.. I new quicktime update popped up on the updater (7.2, or 7.02) something like that.. anyway.. that seemed to fix the coreaudio problems with QT and itunes..
