G4 and PT Powermix 4.11 limit to number of regions

I'm using Protools 4.1.1 powermix on a G4/350 with 192 meg of ram. No additional hardware. I have come up against what seems to be the upper limit for the number of regions in a session, about 300. Is this normal? Is there a patch to get around this limitation?
