Default MIDI newbie and PT LE

I have an Axiom 61 that I can connect to PT LE and successfully use an insert like XPAND or Sampletank. What I can't figure out how to do is get the Axiom working using its "native" instruments. MIDI studio setup, etc., is confusing me, and I'm not sure how to route inputs/outputs. Is there step-by-step guide for this?

I don't believe the Axiom has any "native" instruments, if I'm understanding what you mean. It's a controller only, and doesn't have an internal sound module.

Cheers,
Pete
