Default Pioneer RMX-1000 issues

I just got a Pioneer RMX-1000 the other day and updated the firmware to the newest version. I also downloaded the RMX-1000 plugin (VST, Audio Units or RTAS®). Whenever I open the plugin in Pro Tools 10.3.3 WITH the RMX-1000 plugged in via USB the software starts lagging really bad and when I use the buttons and knobs on the RMX-1000 nothing happens (the knobs on the plugin do not move and the sound is unaffected). Whenever I open the plugin WITHOUT the RMX-1000 plugged in via USB, Pro Tools does not lag but the plugin still does absolutely nothing when I use the mouse to control the plugin (the knobs and buttons in the plugin do move/light up but the sound is still unaffected). The way I am opening the plugin is by creating a new stereo instrument track and setting the RMX-1000 plugin as an input. I'm not sure of that is the proper way to use the plugin because I cannot find any info about how to use a Pioneer RMX-1000 in Pro Tools. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

-Brad

That seems strange, i dont believe this unit has RTAS or AAX plugins available. Only VST and AU. How did you get it running on protools?

Also, there is no "Pro Tools M-Powered 10.3.3". The last version specific to M-Audio hardware was Pro Tools MP 9. Did you mean the regular Pro Tools 10.3.3 or Pro Tools Express?

Sorry. I meant the regular Pro Tools 10.3.3.
I have also had similar issues when using the RMX-1000 plugin with Ableton Suite 9, but not as often as with Pro Tools. Maybe the problem is on Pioneer's end?
