Default 6.1 digirack D-Verb problem...

When using anything but Hall or Ambient it makes everything MONO (pan L/R does nothing), is this normal cause I've never noticed it before?, I deleted the DAE pref files, local "users" digidesign dir, I/O settings file and restarted PTLE and same thing going on, should I completely uninstall PTLE, wipe all the digidesign dirs and install fresh or this a known bug?

what kind of track (stereo or mono?), and which dverb did you use?

I just tried it on my 002 with 6.1, and didn't notice that using the mono deverb on a mono track, or the stereo dverb on a stereo track.

more details would be good.

Didn't matter which plugin (mono or multi channel D-Verb on either stereo or mono track), this was working fine on 6.1 when I first installed it, then I opened a session last night and noticed it was way too monoish, then after experimenting with a fresh new session the same thing would happen, is there a dir that holds the plugin settings elsewhere? looked in the main factory settings dir & user session dir for D-Verb but found nothing.

well, I don't have any suggestions, I'm just trying to reproduce the problem - which is the first step towards getting it fixed.

So, if you could describe in detail, all the steps involved - including session sample rate, DAE settings, track setup, I can try again to duplicate your results.

Ok, cool thanks for helping, Im not at the DAW at this moment so excuse my guesswork, try this:

1. create a new session @ 24/96
2. import or record 2 mono tracks, pan one L other R( guitar rythms for example).
3. create a stereo master track, add D-Verb insert at top, playback and click the buttons for hall, church, room1, room2, ambient, move the mix slider about 25 % for example, inbetween trying differnt room environments, pan the mono tracks around and listen if you can hear them pan, I was only able to use pan on Hall/Ambient type.

Ok, I just tried a 96K session, and I definitely see what you mean. Then I tried a 48k session, and also saw the problem.

My earlier test didn't use a stereo master fader.

Anyway, there's definitely something weird going on. Sometimes stereo works, then if you try some of the other reverb effects, (plate, room, etc) it goes to mono, and doesn't come back till you remove the dverb and start it again.

I doubt this is a matter of reinstalling Pro Tools, I think it's a bug in PTLE and/or Dverb.

It's a D-verb bug. Currently there is no mono/stereo converter at 88.2 and 96k. There are 1 or 2 other digi plugs like this as well. Digi posted this recently around here somewhere.

chris, it also craps out on 48K sessions.Easily caused it to happen here. I probably haven't noticed before because I haven't used Dverb, I have Waves Rverb from the 002 bundle.

Tele, I also have that Rverb from the digi002 bundle pack 1.0, works ok, but the way I'm using reverbs on many tracks at once it seems to overload CPU so I went with D-Verb, another thing I tried with this D-Verb is bussing 3 mono chorus tracks with differnt pan settings to 1 x Aux stereo track and inserting Multi D-Verb and it kills the Stereo yet again, cant remeber if this was a prob with 5.3.1.

Digi support, If your listening, please confirm if this is a bug or mis-usage of the plugin?
