Default M-Audio Fast Track C400

There is suddenly no sound coming through my M-Audio Fast Track C400. It was working fine last night but now, in preferences, it tells me "the selected device has no output controls" same for the input controls. The headphones I'm using work when I plug them directly into the MacBook so no problem there. The C400 is only a few months old. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi, Do you have the latest driver installed?

You could try reinstalling the latest one.

Actually the headphones working when you plug them into the Mac is very much a problem. And tells us you have likely have the wrong playback engine selected.

Hold down the 'N' key when Pro Tools is starting up and keep it held down until the Playback Engine dialog appears and select the Fast Track C400. Your headphones need to be plugged into the C400.

And yes this assumes you already installed drivers for the C400 already on OS X.
