Default PT 5 upgrading, memory dimm chips dont fit in G3 / 266 ? Can\'t get lid closed?

The chips sit too high and the lid rests on them!

Americanino brand 128 MB Beige G2 chip

Any ideas?

Jules-
A minor "chassis modification" is in order. I had the same problem and I found that it was the fan grill on the bottom of the swing out chassis that was the problem. I took a pair of pliers and bent up the middle of the fan grill to clear the RAM module. If you look in through the front of the computer as you close the chassis you can see where it makes contact.
