Mpowered recordings not playing PT10 or PT11

Hello All
I hope this something I missed and it is an easy one.
I upgraded from m-powered PT to PT11 which also came with PT10 last summer.
I really like PT11 but I can not play most of my old m-powered recordings on PT10 or PT11.
The m-powered sessions ( ptf) opens on Pro Tools 10 and shows all of the audio files blank and only some midi data, I get messages like 107 files missing I've tried to re link them automatically but has not worked . I also tried the save session as box but did not see any extension options when manually filled it in the file would not open. I there any way to fix this?
Is it possible to run Pro-Tools 7 or 8 and pro tools 10 & 11? Would that help?

The only supported side-by-side install is PT 10 and 11.

There shouldn't be any incompatibility issues with PT 11 opening older PTF files. Did you move any of your projects, audio files or samples since they last worked with M-Powered?

Yes sort of when I upgraded to PT 11. I went to OS X 10.9 from 10.7 and ended up getting the whole hard drive with the OS scrubbed and 10.8 loaded but the write disk was un touched as recall though I could have had to move back from my stand alone backup disk. When I bring up an old m-powered created PT sessions all I get get is some midi data and list of tracks not active.
I am thinking of loading PT 7 back on mac Intel laptop & hook that up to my pro fire. Can I still buy a license for PT 8?
