Application Manager won't sync or update
I have Avid Application Manager 2.3.3.4920 on a 2014 MB Pro with OS X 10.9.5. After App Manger connects and I log into my Avid account, App Manager says 'Syncing...' for each item under Artist Suite and Plug-Ins, including itself, and never gets past that. It also doesn't succeed in getting the subscription data on the Account page.
Currently when App Manager first connects it is showing an Update link for itself, but when I click on the link and login to my Avid account it goes into the endless syncing, so I can't update. Thinking it might be a client/server timeout issue I've tried it on 2 different Internet connections, one satellite and the other DSL, with the same result. Meanwhile I also have a PC running Windows 7 here that doesn't have this problem and successfully updated to 2.4.1. As a work around I logged into my Avid account via web browser to use the download link there but the App Manager download is still only version 2.3.2. Any suggestions? -Allan

This happened to us aswell but after the latest version released friday i think that went away. Also make sure there are no Virus protection programs that stops Manager to update itself. I know ther are an Exception option in some OS but I haven't found it on OSX yet

Mine seems to be stuck in an endless syncing loop, can we download the AvidApplicationManager somewhere(except through updating in the app itself)?

I haven't found anywhere else to download that update than inside app manager unfortunately.

I used to have download links for the old App Manager 2.3.2 in my account's Product Details and Download Links but they disappeared overnight when PT 12.1 links were added.

Sonofagun! The Update link in my App Manager is working now and it's downloading the 2.4.1 update. Oh, I notice App Manager says its version is 2.4.0.6360, not 2.3.3.4920 that I had prior to installing PT 12.1 a little earlier. So it looks like 12.1 includes App Manager 2.4.0.6360 which fixes the syncing problem!

Jeffro. I am having the same issue as the OP except that I am on Windows 7. Also when I try the link in the above post for App Manager 2.4 it just goes to your post that says try the new version and report back but there is no link to get to the new AppMan. In addition I show no links for AppMan in any version in my account, only readme and guide links. How do I get the new version to install it and get back onboard? Thanks.

There are no links in the Avid accounts as those are built into the App Manager itself. Do you have any virus protection software running as windows usually blocks things and goes un-noticed,
