Welcome to the community.

Well, for starters, you cannot obviously monitor in surround using only two speakers so I'm assuming you just need to edit something, right?

If so, the easy solution would be monitoring L/R channels only and just get things done. If you need to "monitor" without proper monitoring, I guess you're looking for something like Waves NX plugin.

Pro Tools comes with a Downmix plugin which allows you to hear all surround info coming out of two speakers.

You can't. I'm going to respectfully suggest that you hire professionals for whatever you're trying to accomplish, unless you're just messing around and trying to learn. In which case, start by googling surround sound and reading everything you see.
