Default Solution for keyboard on the bolster.

Avid has the keyboard tray that slides over the bolster, but some people have expressed a desire to have more room for a keyboard, trackball, etc. I just came up with a solution that I'm going to try out for a little while and see how it feels. I took the two small blank panels from the top and move them to the bottom to create a larger space at the bottom.

A happy side-effect to this method is that the top two modules stick up at a slight angle. Technically, I could move the power plug of the frame and get these guys to sit flat for a finished look. But I thought it might be convenient to keep them angled so I can read the process button is easier.

Anyway, just though I'd share in case someone else is trying to do the same.

I like that angle on the back modules.

It's subtle, by so far the angle is nice. I went ahead and installed my T-strips back in to give it a more finished look. Here is is again with my keyboard and trackball moved so you can see the blank panels.

Nice! Keyboard fits in nicely. I also like the canted angle of the top module and how you arranged the knob modules right above the faders. We have them set all the way back at the top (faders, process, and then knobs). I think I'd prefer the knobs closer as you've done it, since they get more use. But it's not my call unfortunately.

As more people get their hands on the s6 I think we'll see some awesome modifications and custom enclosures being made. Great work.

I like having the knobs nice and close; especially since the LEDs are behind the knobs. Also, it's fairly easy to read the labels on the process buttons from far away. At night, I have a USB gooseneck LED that illuminates the process buttons. I plug it into one of the 2 USB ports on the back of the Master Module. Works great.

This is starting to get off my own topic, but I decided my solution for the keyboard wasn't quite good enough, and I also missed having the Computer screen right in front of me. So, I added the producer desk.

I do still love the trick of having the back modules angled, but now I've decided that I would rather have the knob modules angled and the process modules flat.
