Re: ok... new here, i got a no audio problem with my 001
**The pro tools audio doesn't come out of your 'system'. Your 'system' volume or soundcard has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Pro tools audio being heard. Your pro tools audio comes out of the 001 soundcard.**
Plug either your monitor outputs of your 001 card into your amplifier that powers your speakers. If you have powered speakers then you'll plug these monitor outputs directly into your speakers. If you use the monitor outputs of the 001, you must make sure that your MONITOR MODE button on the front of the 001 is NOT ENGAGED, and make sure that your 001 volume is up. (The 001 volume knob is on the front of the 001 and is next to the headphone volume). The monitor outputs of the 001 are defaulted to listen to outputs 1 and 2. Any tracks sent to outputs 1 and/or 2 will be heard out of the monitor outputs. You can also connect your 001 outputs 1 and 2 to your amp or speakers. This will bypass the volume control on the front of the 001, and should be used if you are hooking the 001 upto a DAT machine, tape deck, or a stereo system where the stereo reciever has a volume control. If this is not working, check your IO setup in the PT software and make sure that your monitor outputs are defaulted to outputs 1 and 2 and not another pair (like 3,4 5,6 etc.)
