what rack mounts should i get? *newbie*

okay so i been recording for a few years now. just using the mbox and now the digi002 but im learning about the clock and the pre amps and the different qualitys. i have made some pretty good mixes with just a mbox. but i would like to know more about the clock and such .. what will i need next to get a even better quality.

Nobody can give a real answer without knowing what your needs are, and what your budget is. My 2 cents, assuming you are running PT9 or later, I would dump the 002 and buy a newer interface at a higher price point(look at MOTU, Focusrite and RME, with RME being the best of these 3, or maybe a UAD Apollo if budget permits). This alone will likely make a big improvement(the old 002 was never considered to be high-quality in any way)
