MTRX .dms file

I had to change my MTRX Studio for a new unit because of a faulty headphone socket. The new unit won't accept the old .dms file as it was made by the old unit with a different serial number. Is there any way to force the new unit to accept the old setup file? Reason is I have set up the routing matrix and I don't want to go through that headache again!

Unfortunately there is currently no way to pull in the settings from a different DADman settings file (.dms) into a different serial unit. The monitor profile (.dmprof) absolutely can be opened or imported including harvesting custom groups, sources and outputs. We are currently discussing the possibility of adding this functionality - especially since MTRX Studio is a fixed configuration of IO and parameters - which differs from the massively tweakable flagship MTRX. In the meantime, I always recommend folks take screen grabs of the relevant AD, DA, Con and Conf sections inside of DADman. If I can help with anything please don't hesitate.

If you're adventurous you could open up the file with a hex editor and replace the serial number. No guarantees it will work though!
