Strange post.

Firstly, v14 is Apple Silicon native for AAX and does not require Rosetta.

Secondly, your thread title makes it sound like you don’t want it to be AS native.

Very confusing.

An odd thread indeed. But it is an odd situation - according to Waves, v14 is only supported under Rosetta - (note - this hasn't been updated since Pro Tools 2022.4, which was Rosetta only).

Since I'm reliably told by many people here that v14 IS fully native compatible, there's only two realistic explanations for this. 1 - Waves are incompetent, and just haven't got round to updating their own website, or 2 - they are deliberately leaving it ambiguous, so when v15 is released fully native compatible, lots of people update their WUPs before migrating to a new OS, not knowing they don't, in fact, need to.

It only takes this:
Code:
google> waves v14 apple silicon
to find this. It says:

Quote:
What’s New in Waves V13
  • Apple M1 compatibility: All Waves plugins are now compatible natively with Apple ARM Silicon M1 computers.
  • Windows 11 compatibility (in all DAWs providing Windows 11 support).
This information is published by Waves -- so whether it is reliable or not, nobody knows. But straight from the maker anyway. Maybe it means native AU since V14 and rosetta AAX, but if you have current v14 I am sure it is native AAX, if not yet but must be soon.

Interesting - does anyone have a v13 plugin working natively?

V.13 are not AAX Universal Binary. V14 are AAX Universal Binary.

This is confirmed.

ALL Waves plugins have been Apple Silicon ready since V13. (The plugins themselves are not AAX or VST or AU....the Waveshell handles the various plugin wrapper formats).

To Waves credit, the same day Pro Tools 2022.12 Public Beta came out, Waves released the Apple Silicon native version of the Waveshell V14 (don't know about V13 since I'm up to date).

You need to just stop. It’s not funny at all. And it certainly isn’t appropriate behavior of a Moderator to bash anyone or anything whether you’re a fan or not. Grow up.
