If I swap this memory and use any 2 sticks in slots 1 and 3 it correctly reports 8Gb, pretty sure its a MB/BIOS issue, if I've got memory in 1 and 2 then only 2 shows up....

I just received a quote for the 5PCI slot Mobo. $430 friggin bucks. Got damn. I think i'll stay with the Jetway Mobo. Don't think it's worth the xtra money for one more pci slot.

Hi--

I just wanted to contribute to the forum since we got so much great information from all of the threads/members concerning modern motherboards (1155/i7) and legacy PCI-x cards.

We just successfully built a new computer (Win 7 Professional) for our HD2 system running PT 9. Everything installed without a single hiccup, no doubt due to the research performed here.

Antec P183 Case
Antec EarthWats ES-750 Power Supply
JetWay JNAF92-Q67 LGA 1155 Motherboard
Intel i7-2600 Sandy Bridge 3.4 GHz Quad Core Processor
16 GB (4 x 4 GB) Corsair XMS3 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM 1333
Intel 510 120 GB SATA III SSD (System)
Seagate Barracuda XT 3 TB 7200 RPM SATA 3 (Sessions)
Sony Optiarc CD/DVD Burner
Sapphire Radeon HD 5670 1 GB Graphics Card

The only caveat was with the case. We had to remove the preferred 3.5" drive bay to make room for the HD cards. Thankfully it wasn't a deal-breaker since there are two 3.5" drive bays to choose from.

After we were convinced everything was okay we installed a legacy PCI USB card, PCI Express Firewire Card, two additional internal SATA drives and three external USB drives.

Been running for almost a week with no issues to speak of.

Hope that helps someone.

Not sure if any of the folk with the Jetway board are using more than 2 of the PCI slots....

So just so's you know - I bought a s/h Accel card instead of upgrading to 10HD and it all works just fine, so HD3 Accel is good on these boards. Still got one slot free

Excellent. I'm running an HD|3 Accel (Core, Accel, Process cards) on my Jetway board with Pro Tools 10 HD. So far so good...
