PT Control intermittent connection
MacBook pro with USB to Ethernet connector set to DHCP connected to a simple ethernet switch. I also have an Apple Airport Express hooked to the same switch also in DHCP mode with the network set to bridge mode. PT Control connects intermittently. Any ideas why? I feel like this should be rock solid.
I've got a wireless router, would that work better than a switch? |

Re: PT Control intermittent connection
I think a wifi router connected directly to the computer will give the best connection performance. Having said that, avoid cheap routers(use a dual-band wifi router). Also, I have been unimpressed with the Airport wifi performance

Re: PT Control intermittent connection
Just for the hell of it I gave every device a static IP and things seem to work much better. I was under the impression that PT control had to be connected via DHCP but that doesn't seem to be the case.
