Unreadable Wav file
I'm unable to import some WAV files created at another facility, they are "unreadable" according to the PT import message box. I'm running PT7.4.2 on a G5 with OS 10.5.6. I'm told that the files are importing fine on other systems running PT8-10. If I open the files in Quicktime I can export as WAV and then they import fine, a step I'd like to bypass. Any ideas why this would be happening?

Re: Unreadable Wav file
What bit depth/sample rate are they and what program generated them? I know I used to have difficulty with Cubase 32-bit wavs in older versions of PT (and Logic for that matter).
If you can upload the wavs somewhere I'm sure one of the community here would convert them for you using a newer PT. |
