Default Mackie Onyx 1640i

Will the Mackie Onyx 1640i work with Pro Tools LE 7.0?

only digidesign hardware will work with pro tools le, including mbox and 00 series. you could use the mackie by taking the left and right outputs to the inputs on what ever device your using though.

Would the Presonus Studio Live 16.4.2 work as a control surface with my rig?

Mackie supplies a driver for this mixer for ProTools M-Powered 8. I'm guessing LE 7.0 won't work...

PT LE will definitely NOT work with the Mackie Onyx mixers, but M-Powered does indeed work with the Mackie. It sees the Onxy as an M-Audio ProFire 2626 device. Of course, you will have to buy a version of PT M-Powered ($250) and then download the driver from the Mackie website (I think it's still free now, but cost me $50 five months ago).

Good luck.

Hello craigrmurray, I see you have a similar set up to me, however I am struggling to get any audio input from my Mackie Onyx 1220i to Pro Tools M-Powered the program has recognised the Profire 2626 thing but i am still getting no audio input.

Help would be appreciated.. Thanks.. MAX
