Default Drag Copy CD Tracks seems broke

Recently I have noticed than when I drag a file off of an audio cd inserted in my computer drive, I get this error in Pro Tools:
PTSess_XCg.cpp line 981
which basically means I can not save the session, or save as or save copy in or auto save.
Please note I drag the CD track to my normal session drive, with Pro Tools not launched, then launch Pro Tools create a new session, then import the CD Track by drag copying it onto the edit window or region list. This makes a Left and Right file in my audio files folder.
However I seem to be able to Import Audio to Track and not have the problem.
System:
cpu: G5 dual 2.5 gig
PT 7.1cs9_OSX 10.4.5
Playback Engine:
ADC-Long
DAE Buffer-Level 2
H/W Buffer-1024
RTAS-2 Processors
CPU 99%
Voices-64(2 dsps)
Sample Rate 44.1
Bit Depth-16 bit

This is reproducible100% percent of the time.

Default Re: Drag Copy CD Tracks seems broke

It's the same bug that already exist in the 7.2 when try to import via drag&drop mp3,mp4 or aiff to your PT session.

This is the full article:

Unable to Save Session After Drag & Drop of MP3 or MP4 Files in Pro Tools HD 7.2 and Pro Tools HD/LE/MP 7.1cs9

The following warning is not included in the Pro Tools HD 7.2 or Pro Tools 7.1cs9 Read Me documents for Mac OS X and Windows XP. This issue was discovered after the release of Pro Tools HD 7.2 and Pro Tools 7.1cs9:

WARNING

In Pro Tools HD 7.2 for Mac OS X and Windows XP, and all versions of Pro Tools 7.1cs9, the session can not be saved after importing any MP3/MP4 files by dragging from the Workspace browser, desktop, or finder.

Until we provide the fix in an upcoming CS release, the workaround is to avoid using drag and drop importing of MP3/MP4 files, and instead use "Import Audio to Track" or "Import Audio to Regions List".

This issue occurs in the following Pro Tools versions:
Pro Tools HD 7.2 for Mac OS X and Windows XP
Pro Tools HD 7.1cs9 for Mac OS X and Windows XP
Pro Tools LE 7.1cs9 for Mac OS X and Windows XP
Pro Tools M-Powered 7.1cs9 for Mac OS X and Windows XP

by the way my files are drag copied from a CD Audio disk to the hard drive so in essence they are AIFF but have the iTunes identifier icon.
