Super Short selections disable play (spacebar) function?

I will be moving around quickly in my project, and sometimes, I'll click where I need to go in the timeline, but will accidentally move the mouse slightly, thereby making selection a tiny selection. (Probably a 10/100th of a second.

I hit the spacebar and it plays this tiny clip, but then the spacebar locks out.

It doesn't crash the program. But I have to hit RETURN to go back to the beginning of the project and use a previously setup memory location to get back to where I was working.

Weird thing is that everything else seems to be working just fine. I just can't use the spacebar to hit play again until I return to the beginning.

Has anyone else had this happen? If so, have you found a fix? My workaround is fine, but it's super annoying to have it happen because I have to jump back and forth to solve it.

Same here...Could this be an Artist Transport or a S3 thing?

You should not have to go to the beginning, just click outside your selection and you should be fine. Never had that issue nor heard of it.

John, what if you hit 1 on the numpad to step back to clear the selection?

Up or down arrows will clear a selection and navigate to either end of it
