Back to the subject:
Forget about DINR, never worked for me, AT ALL
Wave Arts have a great noise supressour pluggin
Sonnox has one, really expensive though
iZotope RX might be in the middle
Just wanted to give my opinion about DINR, as I really question it when someone says 'it didn't work for me AT ALL'. DINR was my mainstay for many years, starting around '95. It worked great though, admittedly, there are better tools out there now (I use Izotope RX). Why it didn't work for you is a mystery - most of the people that said it didn't work, when I discussed it with them directly, didn't understand how to use it properly. Not saying that's the case with you, just that I have gotten good results with it for eons now and have shown dozens of others how to use it - and they got good results.

Remember that RX has two price levels. I have the inexpensive one - less than $300, IIRC, and it has been plenty sufficient. I've had Waves and BIAS NR plugs, and they work, but RX delivers a more natural sounding result, IMO. The others leave artifacts that annoy me. If you want it to come out sounding like it was well recorded, it's either RX or something really expensive.

thx for the reply tho

any simple maybe less expensive solutions?
RX is the best in a price range that doesn't involve yours and your grandmothers kidneys.

I'm not familiar with the trial limitations, but maybe you can work around them? Can't save? Commit [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep]nit!

I stayed away on purpose. I don't have a mac and I don't know enough of PT history and inerworkings to get involved in what is and what should never be.
I spent the night recording music and had no interuptions, all on PT and was happy about it.

YUP. Oh and not to mention I am in landscape construction and spent all day in an excavator on the side of a mountain with no AC and it was 90 degrees. Which in the north east is just hot and humid. Yes I'm whining.)

Edit: Sorry get so OT. I'll but out now.
