What do you mean by "using" though? Using Live? For Practice? For Recording?

Many have "USED" an 11R

it was the plug in Eleven, not the rack, but the models are the same.

Actually Mick mars is the guitarist, not nikki.

The producer of the record also produced, cowrote and sang on the sixx a.m. Album w nikki. He used 11 on both records, but it was the plugin. The rack was not released at this time.

Personally for live use, the fx not being able to bleed between presets is a killer. I used a rig like this for about a year live and was really rough to get used to and felt like a sacrafice I should not have to make. Also being able to let the fx loop bleed over would be a big plus.

Not having played live in a few years now, not sure how it would do for me?

Anyway, I quite liked the "Saints of Los Angeles" album. And to be brutally honest, I'm surprised that the Eleven plug-in was used .

To be specific, Nikki Sixx's group Sixx AM used the eleven plugin on their record for all the guitars.

Then Motley Crue (Mick Mars) used it as well, on their Saints of Los Angeles album. I believe the same producer (James Michael) was involved with both albums.

This was a few years ago, way before the 11Rack was introduced. But all of the guitar sounds on both albums are from the Eleven plugin. I think they sound great.

I suspect that a lot of artists (expecially the heavier ones) using modellers would prefer to keep quiet about it. A little like this - one of my favourite pics :)
