PT Exporting L only

Has anyone been having an issue where you are exporting an Interleaved WAV file, and instead of getting a XXXX.wav file its XXXX.L.wav?

All other files that i've been exporting files from this session have been fine and it just happens randomly. The quick fix is to restart pro tools, trash prefs, disk utilities, etc. All the normal things. Though it does come back after about 10 minutes of exporting.

Any ideas of what could be causing this??

I'm on PT 2018.4 HD, Mac Book Pro Mid-2012, 16gb RAM

hi, this might happen if you have "Split to Mono" on a stereo track and the Parent File still has the .L attached on the Clip Bin ..

but you say it is fixed for a little while then returns .. that is odd ...

Ya it’s definitely an odd one. I tried a number of things but once I trashed prefs, it seems to have disappeared for now. Wonder what would cause that
