pluging in a snake/returns

hi all ,
i just got a 16 by 4 stage snake and i cant figure out how i can get my 003 rack to give me more than stereo 1 and 2 outputs at one time so i can have all 4 returns working.is there a way to get 4 outs at the same time or am i hoping for to much?

What are you using the returns for? What about inserting sends on each channel (1 through 4, I presume, since you have four 1/4" returns) and plugging your snake into outputs 1-4 on the back?

its a 16 x 4 stage snake XLR'S . i'm using it to record and i want to send the mix down the returns to headphones but i want more than 2 outs from the 003.

Not sure if I undertsand you, but the 003 (and 002) have 1 pair main outs (like u mentioned), 1 pair mon, and 4 more hannels outs. You could use the mains and the monitor outs for the 4 outs you want. Or put sends on the channels you want and send to ouput 5, 6, 7, 8. Or any combination of the above.

Is that what you are trying to do. Send the main mix (everything) to 2 stereo outs while recording?

i had no idea the send where for " sending" stuff seperatlly out the outs .so now i can have all the seperate headphone mixes i need , my problem is solved .now i need more headphone boxes.
