Default Re: Windows 10 Support for 12.5

So I need to move up to a larger ssd. Also SHOULD copy/backup HDD. Looking at Acronis True Image, it creates a cdr (or dvdr) to then 'reinstall' windows on new drive. But it sounds like some of you have the ability to just pull a drive, and then insert the other drive, and that's it?? The difference in cloning or imaging? What do you guys use? I know there was a thread about this a few years ago, but things maybe have changed(?).
Thanks a bunch!! Mike
PS edit,,, after posting this,, I realized I should have started a new thread. But don't know how to move it! Sorry,, Mike

But I call 10 a lifeboat for a reason. A lifeboat isn't your main ship, but when the main ship goes down it's a lifesaver - that's it's job. 10 has been that lifeboat for me several times over the past 18 months, and I'm extremely nervous about not being able to use it again.
...and to prove the point, yet again PT12 has corrupted a project for me that opens fine in 10. I've had a support case on this for months, but no success. All very tedious.

Windows 10 just isn't an option for me yet until 12 is reliable, or until PT10 is supported in W10.

I use Paragon Drive Copy. Great drive clone program and easy to use.

Well ive been using windows 10 since the technical preview with PT 10 and 11 and now with Windows 10 pro PT 10 and 12. Never had a major issue . Just the common dae errors sometimes and a few unexpected PT close . But nothing that didnt happend on older windows . I must say it runs better for me on Windows 10 . If Avid make a new 003 driver wao..my system would be amazingly good !
