Default \'Twas the update before Christmas

'Twas the upgrade before Christmas and all through DUC
The upgraders were stirring, their confidence shook

There were petitions, complaints, whinges and rants
So many Pro Toolers with ants in their pants.

Post after post from users who would whine,
"Why oh why did I upgrade my Digidesign"

There were crashes and freezes causing all kinds of fuss
Then a smear campaign started by a man named Russ

All manner of suggestions were to no avail
Not even the ones from trusty old Rail

"On to Logic, On to Nuendo, Sonar and DP
Digi’s buggy software is no longer for me!"

"Why should we Beta Test when there are other choices
And alternatives that give us more than 32 voices!!"

Looking back now, the cause of PT7 terror
Was simply a case of mass user error

We found the solution right in front of our faces
We must repair permissions and trash databases!!

And heed Digi's advice when experiencing any bugs
To make sure everything is updated, especially 3rd party plugs.

‘Twas the upgrade before Christmas and all through the forum
Peace has been restored with common sense and decorum

Nice!

How about "the whiners were hung by the chimney with care"....

I think v7 is the best upgrade in over two years. I haven't come up with anything to complain about yet - and I upgraded to Tiger AND PTLE7 at the same time.

My system hasn't been this stable since 10.3.1.

Very creative and quaint, even if sadly inaccurate, I didn't realize you had aspirations to be a journalist, who never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

I can't beleive the guys at Digi launch CS release for the fun of it, you would think they had better things to do with their time rather than create CS releases for bug free software.

Sorry Russ, I did take a little poetic license. Got a little carried away.

All in good fun and holiday cheer.
