Default Fader is bad? C/24

I have a new C/24 here, Just noticed a bad fader. Or is it? No touch response. When I go into test modes and select Touch, All faders show a T and respond to touch except one. I can only move that fader to a new position VIA the Mix window in PT. This controller is not even 30 days old is this going to be a regular failure. I dumped my DXB200 for this and other reasons but I was replacing faders in that thing three a month. I don't want to be going down this road again. Any one have insight on this fader issue?

I think I may just have my Dealer order a second console and replace this whole thing. I just don't want to start off with yet another new console and be replacing parts in less than 10 hours use. Any one have any insight as to the no touch response on one fader? Anyone?

I had the same problem. I used re-calibrate in the utility menu and it fixed it.

It sounds like a bad fader. The only way to know for sure would be to swap it's ribbon cable going to the fader motor control with another fader - if the fader still doesn't work, you'll know it's a bad fader. If it DOES work, it's probably the fader motor control.

Can you please email me the Service docs for this item? As well what is the fader used in this? And what fader is used in the D Control?

You can order faders online on the DigiStore:

http://store.digidesign.com/us/index...roductid=58351

or, if you're still within warranty you can contact Tech Support by phone to get a replacement.

P.S. I put the info there on purchasing replacement faders for others that may read this who aren't within warranty.

Holly Cow! 28 min on hold and my cell batt went dead, Can you call me guys?

I think in fact ill just stuff this back in its box and you guys can service it. Ill have a new one sent out. I am not going to be a service tech for a controller less than 24 days old. So you folks can have this one back and ill try a new one again...
Ill just take the stored demo for the interim

When that one has a bad fader ill have a third one ordered.

And so on..

Thanks again..
