When your client asks for their session to be done at 96k because it just sounds better, make sure to tell them that you will have to charge them twice as much, since it puts twice as much wear on your CPU and takes up twice as much space on your storage devices.

44.1 here for years and years of records, day in and day out. By the way, 44.1k is for audio and 48k is for video. There is really no difference in the way either sounds. The debate about the advantages of higher sample rates rages on but the higher use of recourse that results from their use makes the debate pretty much mute as far as I'm concerned. I could be wrong but as far as I know most Pro's use 44.1.

I mainly have been 44.1 for the last 4 or so years, but Albee's buffer setting have always been superior to mine.
It is contrary to what you would think, but I might try 48K session and see if I can run a 64 buffer $^)
