Digi 002 running on M-powered?
I have just bought a used Digi 002 rack and was wondering if I have to install Pro Tools 7.4 LE, which came with the rack, or will Pro Tools 8.0.3 M-powered recognize it. Also, can I run both of my interfaces, Delta 1010 and Digi 002 rack, at the same time?

Re: Digi 002 running on M-powered?
No and no. The Digi002 is for LE only, not M-Powered. And the Delta 1010 will work in M-Powered only, not LE. And you will not be able to use both at the same time. You'll probably be able to use the MIDI ins and outs of the 1010 in LE, but that's about it.

Re: Digi 002 running on M-powered?
I have heard before that people has gotten both versions to install side by side. You can't run both at the same time but you might be able to install both to use with each interface. I think they said they installed LE first and then M-Powered for it to work, theres a thread about it somewhere around here. And Chief is correct about Digi for LE and Delta for M-Powered. I just wish (wishful thinking) they would do away with M-Powered completely and make it all LE. Its freaking retarded to have both versions when you can make the same software for each interface. Lets see: decent pres and converters, but no video support and additional add-ons, M-Powered. Crappy pres and converters but with video and tons of add-ons, LE. WTF. (Just my opinion)

Re: Digi 002 running on M-powered?
Thanks for the advice. I had to uninstall Pro Tools M-Powered version 8 and install a older version (7.4) of Pro Tools LE in order to get my Digi002 working. It was interesting that before I uninstalled M-Powered, the Digi002 rack was recognized by Pro Tools M-Powered in some of the options to set up and/or configure your system, may be just the MIDI I don't remember. Although the I/O's would not recognize both Delta 1010 and the Digi002 at the same time. Bummer, I really like the version 8 of Pro Tools. I guess I have to fork out the $ for the upgrade in LE also, because all my previous sessions were done in Version 8, I get a message telling me some of my settings are not compatible with the LE version.
