Re: Is 4 gig 1067mhz ram enough for pt 11 vid
If you engage the Avid Video engine with your system usage window open, keep an eye on the memory bar at the bottom and watch it drive up to 95 -100% if you're running 4GB RAM, I bet you're right on the edge with the 1333 RAM and I'm not surprised the 1060 won't work at all. PT11 minimum system req: Mac Systems
Computer: Avid-qualified Apple computer (see details) System Software: Mac OS X 10.8.4 (Mountain Lion) Total System RAM: 8GB minimum, 16GB (or more) recommended Hey at least RAM is cheap! |

Re: Is 4 gig 1067mhz ram enough for pt 11 vid
One of the biggest reasons for 11 is, 64 bit operation, which will use ALL the RAM on your system. With only 4GB, you are hamstringing performance. I would double the RAM(at the very least). Of course, updating to an i7 iMac quad with 16GB of RAM would be blazing, compared to the old dual core.
