Trying to upgrade to 6.4 but installer wont work!

Trying to upgrade to 6.4 but installer the wont work!
I've downloaded it twice just incase it was corrupted but double clicking on the icon
wont launch it. I've also tried to open PT6.1.2 but get this message:

The application "Pro Tools" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "A<Pro Tools PPC dbg><Pro Tools PPC dbg><DAE><FicSetOverviewBuffer>"

Any ideas on what to do to get PT up and running again????
So far I've followed all the instructions to the letter.

SO much for doing it to the letter!
This little trick involved changing the ".bin" extension to ".img" to make it work-just like the instructions!
