Default Quick question for an HD Native Thunderbolt owner

I just bought an HDN on ebay, and am trying to verify that it's working. I don't have the interface yet, and won't before the 14 day refund period runs out.

When I plug it into all the computers around here (granted, all 2011 or 2012) with a TB port, I get nothing. No lights. Should I be? Or does it not power on until software goes looking for it?

Thanks.

What exacly are you plugging in?

Is it the Thunderbolt box?

There should atleast be a light when plugged into the computer.

Yes, sorry. HD Native Thunderbolt box, using the supplied TB cable.

And yeah, I was thinking that there should at least be a light when I connect it.

I suppose it could be the cable, but I don't have an other ones. Argh.

Wheni pulledout the omni the thunderbolt box light is red and when i connect the omni it goes green again.

When connected to thunderbolt it lights up even without the omni here atleast

If anyone else could confirm who has thunderbolt would be great

PS - MAKE SURE YOU POWER DOWN THE COMPUTER BEFORE CONNECTING THE BOX VIA THUNDERBOLT

Very common with bad thunderbolt ports on macbooks around 2011. The port is working but it doesn't supply any power. Totally rubbish, try it with the dc adapter and dont forget the HD drivers.

Yeah, the MBP is seeing the TB port.

Ok, I'll see if I've got the right DC adaptor around here.

Even without any software drivers it should still light up though, right?

Downloading a fresh install of HD10 to give it a try.
