Default Speakers popping on solo/unsolo

Can't figure out why this happened, but my speakers would pop and play no audio any time I unsolo'd a track.

OSX 10.6.3
PT 8.0.3
Mbox 2 Pro

After instantiating TL Space on a single aux track, and starting to mess with the settings, I suddenly got a loud pop from my speakers, and audio would no longer play. If I solo'd a track, I'd get a loud pop again and the soloed track would play. If I unsolo'd all tracks, I would again get a pop, and no audio would play -- and the level on the master track meter read zero. If I solo'd any tracks, I would get another pop, signal would start to show on the master, and I could hear audio.

I thought maybe it was my I/O and Bus routing, but I saved the session, rebooted my computer, and loaded the same session and now the problem is gone. =bug.

Anyone ever experienced this before? Up until now, I've had no issues with my MBox and am a little worried I'm going to blow a speaker if I continue using it.

Thanks for any help, guys.

Okay, I know this is an old post, but I'm having the same problem. I've seen a lot of posts about this that date back several years and I'm really disappointed that they have all been ignored. Has anyone figured this out yet?

Okay I fixed it, but I still don't understand it. I hid and disabled 2 tracks and everything went back to normal. I didn't need them anymore because they were temporary tracks that I had printed onto other tracks. The plugins on both of the tracks were Steven Slate VCC, D-Verb, Dynamic Delay, and AIR Phaser. Pretty standard stuff. Weird.
