Default Focus Mode - M and / Keys

I am using v7.1cs8. One of our mixers has informed me that when using the M and / keys for nudging that the "next larger value" is 5 frames. He says that he cannot find either in the manual or elsewhere how to change that next larger value to 10 frames. The manual insists that the next larger value is set at 10 frames but it is not that way in the menu. He can't find anything in prefs or under any of the other menus that address this, and is skeptical that it can't be changed.

Can anyone shed any light on this for me? Corrupt prefs? Bug in cs8? Super-secret preference somewhere?

Thanks for reading!

I don't know if I can shed much light, but I certainly can add to the confusion. The nudge values depend on the TC rate set in the session setup. At 23.976 and 24 FPS it's actually "6 frames" as the next increment after "1 frame." NTSC and PAL both offer "5 frames" as described by your comrade. Seems like a good way to screw yourself up if you're not careful. "Move it 10 frames? OK. Click, click. Wait that's 12 frames "

I think the manual is wrong? It sure used to be 10 frames in PT6, but now it appears that the values jump from 1 frame to 5 frames.

I noticed the same thing. In 6.4 it's 10 frames, in 6.9.3 and higher it's 5 frames. what gives?

It was changed to 5 frames a long time ago, I thought it was with v7.

It just takes a little while to get used to, I like it better now.

I know it's not a shortcut, but you can enter whatever nudge value you would like in the nudge window.

Hope it helps.
