MBOX PRO 3 and ELEVEN RACK Together

I am wanting to use my MBOX PRO 3 and ELEVEN RACK Together.
Having the MBox Pro 3as the main interface.
Below is what I have going so far with a couple of question also.

I am running Pro Tools 11.1.2.

Eleven Rack connected to the MBox Pro 3 via S/PDIF In and Out.


in Setup > Playback Engine I show MBox Pro and Eleven Rack.
I have MBox Pro as my Playback Engine.

In Setup > Hardware under Peripherals MBox Pro only shows up not the Eleven Rack.
Is this Normal for PT 11?

In Setup > I/O under The Input Tab. In The Embed Eleven Settings From: Drop Down I have S/PDIF LEFT-RIGHT selected.
It was the only one that would allow audio to pass through my MBox Pro 3 and to my monitors.
There are no options for any thing that is related to the Eleven Rack in that section.

On the Eleven Rack Editor under User Options I have Outputs Digital selected for Rig Outputs.

There is no Clock Source selection in the Editor.

So in the Eleven Rack Control Panel I select S/PDIF as the clock source there.

So with these setup parameters I get sound in to and out of pro tools.

I am able to record tracks.

My concern is that in the Hardware section Eleven Rack does not show up.
Also under I/O In The Embed Eleven Settings From: Drop Down I am not giving the option for Eleven Rack.

On the Track I/O Section I do get this Symbol.



Also After I record a track I do not get the Embedded symbol on my Clip.
Or is this the Symbol?

You have it set up correctly and it is working the way it is supposed to.
Since the MBox is your chosen interface in PT, you will not get options for the 11R in the Hardware section or the embed settings.

You are correct in setting the clock source in the driver settings.

And finally, the symbol you are seeing in the waveforms indicates that you are successfully embedding the 11R settings in the file. You should be able to select the clip, right click on it and see the option to load embedded settings in the menu.

So is this normal? I have copied and pasted my concern from the above post.

In the I/O settings drop down for the embed eleven settings should it read anything about the eleven rack or is just generic?

I ask because several videos I have seen setting this up show Eleven Rack parameters to chose from.

Also in Hardware Settings is this Normal that my MBOX PRO only shows up?

What do you mean by this? Do you not have any options to set where to embed rigs in the I/O? Are we talking about Pro Tools 11? Because in Pro Tools 10 and lower, that is set from the integrated 11R Editor.

Do you have the Eleven Rack drivers installed?

Have you tried just using the Eleven Rack w/o the Mbox connected?
Doing this will give you a better feel of how the Eleven Rack works and how things are routed.

Yes I have the latest Drivers installed and yes We are talking about Pro Tools 11 per the OP.

This is a screen shot of what is available to me under the "Embed Eleven Settings From:" Drop Down Box And this is with the Mbox Pro and the Eleven connected at the same time via S/PDIF and the settings I list above in this tread.


And here is a shot of my Hardware Settings with the Eleven Connected with Mbox Pro 3.



No I have not just connected the 11r by itself.

I am able to record and hear as it should.

My concerns are as listed.

With the Mbox Pro 3 and the Eleven connected should I see the Eleven listed as a Peripheral in the Hardware Setup Box.

And in the I/O setup should I have choices in the Embed Eleven Settings From drop down that reflect Eleven?

The reason you are seeing embed from "Analog 1" ect....
Is because of the I/O settings.

Connect the Eleven Rack by itself. Default the IO, then you should see "Eleven Rig L/R" ect...

If you don't, then create a new session and this time choose the Eleven Rack template for the IO, then Default the IO, and should see "Eleven Rig L/R" ect...

Hi Phillip888, did it work for you?
I have exactly the same issue, and at this moment without solution..
I'm using 11R (spdif), together a RMC Fireface (my playback engine).
I tried every step that everyone suggested

And like you say, no option in my hardware options, no " Guitar Input", etc..

Whenever I try to use the reamp template, the inputs appear unclickable ..

Ps: (I'm using the latest 11R drivers)
