I'm pretty sure he's asking if the new AAX versions will be compatible with PT10. IOW, will they be AAX32/64.

I don't know the answer, but it doesn't matter as PT10 will still be able to run the current RTAS versions. So regardless of wether Massey has coded the AAX version to be 32/64 compatible, there will always be versions able to run in all iterations of Pro Tools.

With all due respect, Drew, your posts (#58 and #60) were vague --and precisely the problem with declaring a plugin "64 bit."

Without stating specifically whether the 64 bit version is 32 bit compatible, nobody knows what "64 bit" means *exactly*.

Sorry John. Perhaps I should have added "only", as in "they are 64 bit only" versions. Thought it was clear.

It wasn't, hence me to trying to clarify. :)

BTW, was the 64 bit only mentioned in the email he sent mentioning upgrade pricing etc. or was this something he mentioned elsewhere? I don't recall that part, but I may have overlooked it when taking in all the info.

I've been testing the plugs for a while now so it's from my experience.

Don't be. Often, it's not til the end that they work well and prior to that it can be bumpy.
