Default reason 6.5.1 rewire problems

He everyone. I upgraded tot he new protools 10.3.2 and now i can not rewire reason 6.5.1 into protools. reason opens with my protools session and the rewire plug in shows up, but my issue is that they will not run together. If i wre to hit play on protools, reason wont play, vice versa. any body else having this issue or know what to do?

now, my protools 10 does rewire abelton with no problem so the issue has to be between reason and protools.
please let me know if you need more info
thank you everyone

This is a long shot, but are you sure you are running Reason "as Administrator"?

yup. i open protools first. then reason. It worked before until i did the upgrade in protools 10.3.2. i noticed when i put reason in the insert and the rewire box pops up that the compare button is light up (blue) and it wont let me deselect it.

Brince,

I've occasionally had this issue with Reason 6.5, and the solution has usually been that for some unknown reason (d'ya see what I did there), Reason will revert to 64 bit operation and it needs to be in 32 bit mode to run alongside ProTools.

Locate the Reason app in your Applications folder and Get Info on it. You'll see a button for "Open in 32 bit mode".

That should sort the problem. Dunno why this happens, but it's rare enough for me to have forgotten the fix when it happened to me recently and I had to go look it up again.

Hope that helps.

Cheers

I had this same problem when upgrading to PT 10. I ended up contacting Propellerheads support. Once he resolved the issue I saw that this info is on their page about running Reason with PT but only there and it wasn't exactly sticking out.

Hi everyone, I am faced with this problem as well but I cannot find a solution. Everything was working fine till last week until rewire decided to stop. I am using protools 8 and rewire 7 on Mac. I can open reason from protools but the do not go together. I have checked the Reasons application folder and it is in 32 bit!! Honestly, I do not know what to do.....I am completely stuck.
