ProTools MP9 on a MacBook Air?
Hey guys,
my Question is quite simpley, is it possible to to record 32 Tracks in Protools MP9 (via m-audio ProFire Lightbridge) on a MacBook Air (13")? Would the MacBook Air even be fast enough for editing 32 tracks with larger amounts of plugins (Compressor, Gate, eg.) and additional 4 effects (Delay, Reverb)? If this seems to much for the Air, how many tracks (recording/editing) might be possible? Has anyoune made experiences with the MacBook Air an Protools? I´m aware avid recommends a second HDD for ProTools, and the MacBook Pro would be the better choice, but let this be my problem, at least kind regards, Floh. P.S.: excuse my strange kind of writing, english isn´t my first language. |

Re: ProTools MP9 on a MacBook Air?
You should be able to record only 18 track at a time with protools m-powered 9 so you would have to use a diferent software to do so like protools 10 and I would recomend you buying the thunderbolt to fire wire adapter and daisy Chaining a firewire 400 hardive which must be 7200rpm
