Default Re: Windows 10 Creators Update and 12.7.1

After updating to Creator version of Win 10 two services don't work with PT and I have to restart them manually.

Windows Endpoint Builder - stop it. In this process it will also stop Windows Audio. Restart Endpoint Builder.

Next restart Windows Audio.

Now Protools will initiate the audio engine for my ASIO device, in this case a Lynx Two A.

Have to do this every time I restart Windows or the audio engine stalls in Protools.

Thanks for the heads up but you're absolutely right, that doesn't mean anything to me. Pro Tools runs fine here, when they support a new version of Windows we'll probably be on Pro Tools 15
Just an FYI, MS is planning to update only two versions of Windows 10 at any given time. so if you're online with version 1507 you should think of updating by May 9th.

FWIW, I'm on the latest (actually on the preview build) without issues.

I'm not on my machine atm, so I can't precisely describe it, but there is no need to disable win updates. In the update settings there is an option where you can choose to "defer feature updates". This means ignoring builds such as the Creators Update, but you will still get the important security updates.

My procedure is the same as it has always been. Wait for work critical software manufacturers to green lite a big OS update before jumping in. I haven't read sufficiently up on it, is there anything nice audio-wise in this update?

The millennium update destroyed the "apply to all" folder view on my secondary partition, no update until today has solved the issue.
