Default Roland expression pedal not functioning properly with eleven rack

Maybe someone can shed some light on this for me. I was sucessfully using my Roland ev5 pedal as a wah with continuous sweep of the full range of the wah. Ever since I updated the firmware to the latest, I can only get the wah to act as an on off pedal ie. It is either 0 or 10 in value. Not sure what is happening. Any one have any ideas. Thanks everyone.

Make sure the "PEDAL TYPE" is set to "EV/FV". This is a parameter that did not exist in the previous firmware. I also had to recalibrate my pedal after the upgrade as well.

Vai...thanks for the reply. I set it up this way and did the calibration, but it is still just showing a value of 0 or 10 when I use the pedal....not sure what else the issue could be.

Ok, I just figured it out. There is knob on the side of the Roland pedal with values from 0-10. When I calibrated the pedal, it was on 10. When I changed it to 0 and recalibrated the pedal, it works like it should. Thanks again for the suggestion.

Great! That was going to be my next suggestion! I had the SAME problem which was if the Boss expression pedal volume knob was not ALL the way to zero it gave me really sporadic results like you experienced. Even if it was turned up BARELY above zero it wouldn't work either... Glad you got it figured out! :)

Default Roland expression pedal not functioning properly with eleven rack

You seem to know what you are talking about.
I have an Ground control pro with 2 boss expression pedals connected controlling my eleven rack.
I have a problem, when I'm shifting preset on the GCP the volume pedal dosent follow.
Example: when I'm playing in preset 1 and bringing the volume down the volume dosent stay down when Im shifting preset... even if i keep the pedal in "down position".
Can I solve this?

Hey guys,
I just tried using my Roland EV 5 & did all the calibrations in all the positions but no results. It's just not working although the green active light shows up while calibrating.Does this have anything to do with the output settings.I am using the 11r as an interface & have the 'Outputs to amp' set as Signal -Rig output.

I have connected the 11r from it's main outputs (XLR) to the monitor speakers.

Is there anything else I should do?

Also you have to specify what you want the pedal to control.
Volume or Wah, Rig Volume, FX.
