Unhappy Music Production tool kit

I have music production Tool kit 7.4, All work as it should except I do not get more then 48 Tracks in Pro Tools 8, I should get 64 tracks?

All of the music Production tool kit works except additional tracks, why could this possibly be that all works except the additional tracks, I should have 64 tracks in PTS8 with music Production tool kit?

Yes, you should be getting 64 tracks in PT8 with your existing toolkit. Perhaps you need to make sure you've downloaded the latest updates.

However, since you're an existing toolkit user (assuming you bought it new at the time), you can upgrade to Music Production toolkit 2 for only $50 from the Digistore. This will give you the latest version, plus you'll get Eleven LE and Structure LE. Worth it for only $50.

But you should still be able to get the 64 tracks with your existing toolkit.

IIRC the 7.4 MPTK installer does not work properly (for the higher track count asset) with 8.0.1 and higher. you actually need the MPTK2 installer for it to work properly. i had the same problem. i think you will have to contact AVIDIGI to get an installer tho since they do not have 'that' stand-alone installer posted anywhere on its' site AFAIK.

One reason is just what you are going though, another is drive efficiency, an a third is most people can't detect the difference with most pop music.

I use to record in 96Khz as well, however the reason I now record in 88.10Khz it simply convert better into 44.10 when you bounce your tracks

I got 64 tracks in 8.0.3cs1 with the asset and using the 7.4 installer from the 7.4 install disk. I did however do the MPTK2 upgrade to get Eleven LE for the 50.00 clams. As far as I know the actual MPTK asset stays the same or at least the name on the iLok does. mine says Music Production Tool Kit and not Music Production Tool Kit 2.
