Default External firewire harddrive?

Hey guys,

I am running 7.4 on a dell studio laptop 32 bit, vista ultimate, 3 gig ram, core 2 duo 2.00 GHz and a Projectmix.

I have 1 drive which I partitioned to separate the OS and everything else. I have currently been recording to that drive, and I have read that it isnt optimal (I get a lot of issues with HUI communication/some lagging and unresponsiveness).

I intend to wipe this machine clear and install a clean v8.0 of PTMP. Anyways,

what external drive would you recommend for my setup? Also how would I go about incorperating this/setting it up for use?

Regards!
