Default Dolby Atmos Monitor Controllers

Anyone know of any Monitor Controllers that support Dolby Atmos? Just wondering how those in smaller rooms are dealing with the subject of monitoring?

I ended up getting a Trinnov MC, but I got a good second hand price.

There are not many options out there and none of them are cheap. A small market I guess.

It also depends what you need them to do. Just monitoring or room eq, speaker delay etc.

Trinnov
Colin Broad
Avid MTRX
Xilica
Qsys

There's a thread on here called '7.1 monitoring controller and beyond' I started, which might be worth a read.

I programmed a custom page in London Architect for the BLU-806/BOB for our 7.1.4 ATMOS room.

Hiya
we went with the JBL Inonato units, really good and the folks at Dolby liked them for the tuning of the setup. Need to use a computer to control them at the moment but the remotes should be here soon.

Hi Pete
Thanks for chipping in....Im looking at that right now co-incidentally...it appears to offer enough i/o for some expansion. Whats your opinion of the Room Correction? and do you know what the latency is?

Hi PT User
The Room correction is okay, it has a auto function (which I haven't used) but I would still do it manually out of habit and my own paranoia :)
I haven't noticed a latency problem, we are using with Blu-link in and Blu-link out to the amps and then a few analogue inputs for external sources. If I remember correctly the max latency is 2.5 ms? would have to dig in the manual to be sure.

Hi
thanks for your reply. 2.5ms analog is really good. Dirac is quoting 13.5ms. Im not familiar with BLU link. Some more reading is in order I think....

Also the newer BlueSky AMC can be expanded to 16 Channels of analog/digital with room tuning. I have had it since November and have been very happy with it. Tuning takes a while, I don't find it simple but the results are good. Latency is extremely low. We are adding Atmos and so are considering all monitor controller options, either expanding the AMC or getting something else..
