Default C24 and Digi 001?

Is it possible to use the Digi 001 and the C24? I think i saw something about this before, but I looked back through the topics and didn't see it.

Does it work well? Can it be done on PC?

Thanks, it seems to be a better solution than the motormix (although a bit more $$$)

I too remember seeing this message from a Digi rep a few weeks ago. Can't find it - mayby they deleted it?

As I remember, the Digi rep said that it was possible, using the newest (or maybe an upcoming - can't remember) release of DigiINIT.

Digi, can you comment on this? With the increasing speed of todays computers, I think there is a need for a semi-pro front-end for a host-based PT system.

Yes it is working! You need "Pro Tools 5.2.1 LE Mac for DigiStudio" from the download page.

I don't understand how this can be. Would someone explain how C24 would interface?

The Control24 hooks up via a Ethernet cable.
Although I have heard it is possible, spending the money on the control24 for a backend of a digi001 is a bit out of whack..

I know about the computer interface, I am wondering how the C24s outputs (DB25s) are going into the 001. Currently to use C24 with a TDM system, you go out of the C24 with DB25s into an 192 or 888/24 or would you not be using the pres? Am I missing something here?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">D-sub to 1/4"TRS snake...

The Digi001 has 8 analog inputs, and if you get somthing like the Alesis AI-3 you can get 8 more analog inputs to Adat lightpipe for a total of 16 analog ins, to match up with the C2 inputs...

You will use the pre's ont C24, and the line inputs on the 001...

Guess I just have to buy a mac for support of the C24... hmm, i saw a Ramsa console that was much cheaper and allegedly had better preamps, might look at using that in HUI mode...
