Default Dear Digidesign..... (OT)

I would like to say that I originally used Cubase- and was opposed to pro-tools because I thought you could get everything you needed out of third party hardware and software. Boy was I wrong. I would like to say that PT 6.4 is THE SHIZNIT. You finally have a self contained production environment that is user friendly, sounds great and DOESNT CRASH! Keep up the good work- I guess there's a reason why you guys dominate this market. THANK YOU. -Ben M.

Can I get an amen???

I hope you're not planning on doing alot of midi work, you'll still need Cubase.

Actually- I've had no problem with midi. Took me awhile to figure out how to dump it into audio- but now it's easy. I just wish sampletank had some decent instruments for being 370 mb.....

Okay- you're right- it's crashed two or three times- but always due to amplitube or Sampletank.

Still- working on it for 6 hours and not having a single crash is impressive.

6 hours without a crash should be expected, not impressive.

I go months without a crash or hiccup...

I'll give an "amen". While it's not perfect, it's certainly stable in my experience, and as far as audio goes, there's nothing I like better.

If people actually learned how to work with MIDI, they would know they DONT need Cubase for MIDI. Just because you cant hit a button that will automatically arrange your MIDI for you, or export it into notation doesnt mean ProTools has incapable MIDI. The Midi works quite well, and is easy to use.
Ive used both, I know.
